This tutorial will help you export and import history of Mozilla Firefox web browser. This is beneficial if you want to move your history from one computer to another. And this is compatible with different web browsers as long as they are Firefox family including Abrowser, Icecat, Tor Browser, Librewolf and also Waterfox.
About Firefox
Requirements
1. Visit addons.mozilla.org.
2. Search for History Export.
3. Click Install Addon under History Export.
4. When Install button appears on top, click it.
5. History Export is installed to Firefox and is now ready to use.
Export History from Firefox
1. Go to History Export in Firefox.
To do so, you can click puzzle icon on toolbar -> click History Export -> click Manage; or alternatively, you can press Ctrl+Shift+A -> click triple dot [...] History Export -> Preferences. Both methods are the same.
2. Under Preferences of History Export, click Export History.
3. A save as window will show -> by default the file name is data.json.
4. Erase the file name and write instead firefox-history.json.
5. Save. Done.
Import History from Another Firefox
1. Make sure History Export is installed (see above).
2. Go to History Export's Preferences (see above).
3. Click Browse...
4. An open file window will open -> select firefox-history.json -> Open.
5. Your history imported successfully. Done.
6. Repeat step 1-5 if you want to import same history to another Firefox or Firefox on another computer.
