I'm sorry from writing non Ubuntu-related post, but it's still around Linux and its open-source project. Well, if you have a Windows operating system and want to impress your friends by modifying the Windows interface you should try KDE on Windows. KDE on Windows Initiative is an ongoing project trying to port KDE applications to Microsoft Windows operating system. This project currently supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. But, there is one people who tried this project on Windows 8. Here is the video:
Please take a note that KDE on Windows is not yet in a final state, some applications may be unsuitable for daily usage and of course you might encounter some bugs.
