LibreOffice has launched yesterday (06/03/2001), have you tried it ?, if you have not tried it, check what's the feature inside :
  • Redesigned Move/Copy Sheet dialog (Edit->Sheet->Move/Copy) to improve its ergonomics.
  • Improve HTML export with an image thumbnail gallery of the slides on the contents page.
  • Arabic, Hebrew, Malayalam Font suport, now show an additional preview of some sample text in the target script.
  • Color Charts Feature.
  • Text Rendering Feature, Text is now drawn via Cairo with the same subpixeling options as other Cairo-using apps. The outcome is that text in LibreOffice is rendered the same as the rest of your desktop.

Download / Install LibreOffice 3.4
reading some reference above, you must be interested to try, for ubuntu user you can install / upgrade LibreOffice 3.4 through this link.
LibreOffice 3.4 PPA repository
it seems that LibreOffice 3.4 still not available in Launchpad PPA, but convinced that LibreOffice 3.4 will be available soon, if you have added LibreOffice PPA before, you can check for the updates by following command:
apt-get upgrade libreoffice
if not, you can add LibreOffice repository through the following steps 
  • echo 'deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/gericom/libreoffice /' | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
  • sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 890E7A26 
  • sudo apt-get update 
Install Libre Office 3.4.3
For now LibreOffice has come to version 3.4.3, you can install LibreOffice 3.4.3 through PPA bellow :

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa 
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install libreoffice

if your desktop get freeze, you can restart the Unity
  • unity --reset
